1. Scope
MockCanvas is an independent educational and exam-preparation platform. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when you use the website, application, learning features, digital courses or support.
2. Information we may collect
- Account and contact information such as name, email address and phone number.
- Authentication identifiers and session information handled through Firebase Authentication.
- Learning activity such as exam and test attempts, correct, incorrect and skipped responses, scores, performance information and saved questions.
- Course entitlements and access details, including the course, activation date, validity and expiry status.
- Purchase references such as amount, order status, transaction or payment identifier, and limited reconciliation information.
- Support messages and information voluntarily provided to resolve an enquiry.
- Technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, browser, security logs and diagnostics where genuinely collected.
3. How information is used
- Create and secure accounts and provide the requested service.
- Deliver questions, tests, explanations, results, saved questions and course access.
- Show performance information and help learners review their attempts.
- Verify payments and activate eligible digital access.
- Respond to account, course, payment, refund and technical support requests.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and unauthorised access.
- Maintain and improve the platform and comply with applicable legal and record-keeping duties.
4. Firebase and service providers
The platform uses Google Firebase services for functions such as authentication, database, hosting and related infrastructure. We may also use carefully selected providers for payments, email, support, diagnostics, security, legal or professional services. Providers receive only the information reasonably required for their role and operate under their applicable terms and safeguards.
With your choice, the website may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage: pages visited, approximate region, device and browser category, traffic source and session activity. Analytics is optional and helps us improve the website. We do not send account identities, contact form contents or purchase details as analytics events. Your choice is stored on your device so we can remember it; use Analytics preferences in the footer to change it.
- We do not sell personal information.
- Access to administrative and learner records is restricted according to role and purpose.
5. Payments
Payments for digital content in the Android application may be processed through Google Play Billing. Payments made through the MockCanvas website or other supported channels may be processed through Razorpay or another disclosed payment provider.
Sensitive payment credentials are entered into and processed through the applicable payment provider's systems. MockCanvas does not store complete card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, bank passwords, or similar payment credentials. We may receive limited transaction information such as transaction identifiers, product or course references, payment status, amount, purchase timing, and subscription or entitlement status for verification, access activation, reconciliation, refunds, fraud prevention, and support.
6. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain learning and purchase records, resolve disputes, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. Account deletion removes the user profile, learning history, saved questions, in-progress tests, leaderboard entries, notification registrations and course access. Question-report submissions are detached from the user while the underlying content-quality issue may remain. Minimized payment and transaction records may be retained where needed for financial reconciliation, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal obligations; they are not used to restore course access to a new account.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials and notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may ask to access, correct or delete certain personal information, withdraw optional consent, or raise a concern. Signed-in Android users can open Profile, choose Delete Account, reauthenticate and confirm permanent deletion. If the app is unavailable, use the public account-deletion request page and contact support from the registered email address. Some minimized records may need to be retained for security, payment, dispute-resolution, tax or legal purposes.
9. Children
Where a learner is below the age at which they can independently consent under applicable law, a parent or lawful guardian should supervise use and provide any required consent.
10. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as the service, providers or legal requirements change. Privacy questions, rights requests and support enquiries can be sent to getsupport8@gmail.com.
